Product Review

MicroGlove is a sporty neoprene sleeve that safeguards iPod nano from scratches and nicks and offers integrated screen and Click Wheel protection.

Amazon.com Product Review

Give your iPod nano the sporty protection it deserves with the two-tone XtremeMac MicroGlove. The cover's form-fitting neoprene construction safeguards the nano from scratches, while its integrated clear screen protector and play-through click wheel slot still give you full sway over the controls. Users will also dig the contrasting mask, which adds extra style to the sleek nano design. And thanks to the removable carabiner, you can easily clip the MicroGlove to a belt loop, purse, or backpack for efficient transport while jogging or walking. This particular MicroGlove comes in a lavender/black color, although several other colors are available, including green/black, blue/black, orange/black, and dark red/black. The cover also comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

This product was a decent price, but it has some drawbacks. For instance, the glove covers part of the main viewing screen and the click wheel and has to be re-adjusted. The hold button is inaccessible, but I don't think this is a major drawback, unless, like me, you are obsessive-compulsive and want to be 100% sure the product will shut off when you are finished using it.

I have had no problems with my iPod slipping from its case; it seems to stay in its place even in my jeans pocket. There have also been numerous times when I've dropped my iPod, and it wasn't damaged. The overall design of the glove is nice, but I noticed that it is hard to clean, and there were some minor scratches on my iPod when I removed it from the case. However, they were very small and hardly noticeable, and no worse than any other case is expected to be.

Overall, the product is decent. I wish the screens would be cut to fit the product better, and it would be nice if the product was...Read more

The ridged colored trim around the control wheel is kind of high and you need to be careful to get to the wheel and controls on it. Also, Nano tends to slide out from bottom (I carried it in my pants pocket and it had come out about a 1/2 inch or so when I took it out--it'd be better if bottom had an elastic to cinch it. Also, you don't have access to the hold button, though that doesn't seem like a big deal since it won't get jostled anyway, being covered by thick neoprene.

Overall, it's functional but I wouldn't buy it again; I'd buy something similar with a thicker silicon, probably.
