MicroShield protects the body and screen of your iPod while providing unobstructed access to the Dock connector and headphone jack.

Amazon.com Product Review

Protect your 60 GB iPod with video while providing unobstructed access to the dock connector and headphone jack with the translucent MicroShield. The crystal-clear, two-piece shield--which snaps securely onto the front and back of your iPod--comes with two rear panels: one with an integrated, low-profile belt clip and one without. Users have the choice of using the front and rear panels separately or together, depending on the situation. Plus, the design of the rear-panel belt clip lets you insert your iPod with the earphone jack facing either up or down. Best of all, the shield's translucent design showcases your iPod's sleek design whether you're jogging, working out, or riding the bus. The MicroShield, which offers full access to the click wheel, hold switch, headphone jack, and dock connector, is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Looking Case, January 25, 2007

Just bought the Xtrememac MicroShield for my 80 GB iPod and so far so good... Two pieces - front and back which snap together for a very snug fit... comes with two different back panels - one with a belt clip and one w/o... I personally don't like the belt clip so was pleased that I had a choice... comes with a plastic screen to protect just the click wheel... the top and bottom of the iPod is left exposed... overall a nice looking case which provides a great alternative to the ugly silicone cases which completely cover the sleek chrome back of your iPod...

I had a hard time finding just the right thing for what I needed the cover for. I wanted to be able to protect the face and have a belt clip but I also needed to be able to go from the car into my office and plop the ipod right into the radio. Which is impossible with almost all other covers without fully taking it off first. With this cover you can easily remove the face of it only and it will still fit into the radio player. Makes my life so much easier. I bought two.

I bought this item when i first got my 60g black Ipod video. I wanted something that would protect it but also not completly cover its color (Otherwise, why make ipods in colors that you can choose? make the ipod one color if you are going to have to pick a skin in another color and cover it anyway) Well it worked great at first. Fit snug, coverd the screen fully and i was happy. I noticed my ipod was getting dirty, so i ordered a cleaner for the ipod and it came with a cream to "get rid" of little scratches. So i take of the case and my screen is dirty and so is the case. I dont know why its like that since this is the first time i have taken the case off. I clean it and use the scratch remover both on the ipod and on the case and whatever is on it wont come off!!! My ipod i which i take great care of, never has been dropped or thrown around, now has unknown scratches on the back, front, screen and clicker. I can understand maybe a few on the clicker, but the rest i am wondering why...Read more
