Summary: worth it??? 2010-03-03
Comment: A ZIPLOCK baggie does the trick just fine... provides all the same dust, moisture and sand protection claimed by this case, and the buttons are all easily accessible and totally usable. Plus you can use it over any other case you buy which does protect against drops and bumps. May not be as pretty but at only pennies a bag, you can always customize with stickers or skins :) save your money.

Summary: I REALLY wanted this to work well. 2010-02-19
Comment: I've been using this case now for a few months and I don't like it any better than the day I bought it. First, there was an ordering error, and I received-and was charged for-two. It's not waterproof. The wake/power button at the top is completely inaccessible, as is the 5 way button. A ziploc bag works just as well, or better, if you're going to actually need to use the menus. You know, in case you want to actually buy a book? This was a HUGE disappointment. I am going to try the new waterproof case from M-edge when it comes out. This was a waste of time and money.

Summary: Just fine 2010-02-14
Comment: It's nice to finally have a product to cover my kindle. I just have to make sure that I'm on the book I want before I put it inside the trendy. While inside the trendy, I can't bookmark my pages because the plastic is so sticky that I can't roll my knob. So I have to take it out each time to add a bookmark or move to another book. It's just fine. Nothing to write home about. It's nice for a long tub bath. I would still be scared to drop it in the water but it's splash proof.

Summary: Great in the pool 2010-01-30
Comment: Easy to read and operate the Kindle in the case except its a little difficult to turn the Kindle on.
I turn it on using a fingernail and I worry that this may eventually put a hole in the case.
It floats.
There is enough room to fit your iPhone in there with the Kindle.

Summary: Kindle's Bathing Suit 2010-01-24
Comment: I LOVE my Kindle and it goes everywhere with me. I also LOVE the beach, long bubble baths, and floating in the pool....so Kindle REALLY needed a "bathing suit" to join me. This worked GREAT for a couple weeks last summer. Yes, there are complaints about it being hard to turn on and off in the case, etc., but as long as Kindle was safe from water splashed by my kids, steam from my bubbles, and sand from the beach I was happy. I didn't even worry about the possibility of dropping it in water, because I did the paper towel test and it worked. (put a dry paper towel in the case and submerged it in water...paper towel came out dry!). Would have given this 5 stars the first week I used it.
However, at some point during the first couple weeks of use, the seam along the side came undone. Thanks goodness I noticed before something horrible (like falling in the pool) happened because with the seam split, it would have filled up with water and drown my Kindle.
I still use it for protection around sand and water, but now I am extra careful knowing that it is no longer waterproof (no accidents allowed now!). It helps for splashes and protection from sand, but I won't be floating in the pool next summer with it! I wish someone would come up with a better product for protection for active Kindles like mine!
