Speck CandyShell Cranberry White Truffle Crystal Case for iPod touch 2G, 3G (White/Cranberry)

Comment: I've had this case on my iPod Touch for almost a month now and I am very happy with it.
The case seems fairly durable although I am very careful with my electronics so I don't know
how it would fare with someone who is rough on things. I put my brand new iPod in this
case and it doesn't have a mark on it so I'd say the case and screen protector are
doing their jobs. I will note that the small piece across the bottom is flimsy as
others have pointed out, but again I am very gentle with my iPod. I'd have given
it five stars if that bottom piece was a little thicker and/or designed differently.

Some people have mentioned that the case is difficult to remove - not so. Search
youtube for the video of how to remove your iPod from the case. It's so simple once
you know how to do it. I got this case on sale for $24.95 shipped so I give it
a double thumbs up for price/looks. It is also worth mentioning that this case is
not too thick, but thick enough to make it easier to hold the iPod. I noticed that
if I held the iPod without a case for extended lengths of time, my fingers would
sometimes cramp up. This case gives you just enough bulk so that it's comfortable to hold.

Once a week I remove the screen protector and wash it in the sink (soap/warm water), then dry it completely
with compressed air, wipe down the iPod screen and reapply the protector. I do this
because I keep the iPod in my pocket alot and lint builds up on the screen edges
and a little bit gets underneath the edges of the protector sometimes.
I'd buy a second case in a different color just to change it up sometimes but don't
think I'd be willing to pay more than the price I paid for this one.

Comment: This is a great looking case. I love the red and white combo and can always find my Touch in a backpack or bag. It isn't sticky when you put it in a pocket, but is grippy enough not to be dropped easily. However, the plastic edge on the lower front edge is VERY fragile. I've had two of these and it has broken on both. If it were not glued to the silicone it would be gone by now. Note that on the iPhone case by Speck. They probably made the iPhone version first and then extrapolated to the Touch version. But they ended up with a significant design flaw. I won't try it again, even though in all other aspects it's the perfect case for me.

Comment: I have had this case for 2 months now and am still extremely pleased with it. I am very particular about cases and tried at least 4 others before I found this one. I currently have a silicone skin on my BlackBerry and I like that it fits snugly, however, as with most silicone cases, the texture is rubbery and dust and lint collects easily. It also makes it difficult to take in and out of your pocket or purse, which can cause it to stretch, so I was hesitante to get a silicone case for my Touch. I also used to have a hard plastic case for my Nano and I really liked the protection it offered, but it wasn't a perfect fit and found that it would slide around just the tiniest bit inside, scratching the back.

The Speck CandyShell was the perfect solution! It is soft and rubbery on the inside to allow for a snug fit and shock absorption if it gets dropped, and the outside offers the protection of a hard case and makes it easy to slide in and out of my pocket. Another reason why I love this case is because it's not too difficult to remove and it won't hurt your Touch in the process. I take my case off pretty frequently to put it on my speaker dock at home. But, since it is a hard outer case, it will slide around some surfaces if you leave it on its back, but you can turn it face down and the rubber trim around the front provides traction while keeping the screen elevated so you do not have to worry about scratches. My only concern is the thin piece in the front above the dock, but it has held up very well so far so I have no complains. I highly recommend this case!

Comment: I've had this case for 3 months and I'm VERY satisfied with it. Covers the iPhone snugly and protects it VERY well! Nice looking, too!

Comment: I loved this case when I first got it. It was beautiful, and the sofy inside, hard outside style of case is my favorite type. However within a few weeks the bright pink rubber part turned a dingy, dusty rose color. My boyfriend has the black and yellow version and the same thing happened on his, it just does not stay clean. Also, the plastic cracks far too easily. I have a crack by the headphone jack, one by the volume control, and the thin piece at the bottom above the dock port has 4. It's almost broken off. If it wasn't glued to the rubber, it would have. I love the look of this case but it's just not worth it. It only stay nice for a week or two then it's just yuck.
