This case is just perfect for my purple iPod shuffle! I don't have to worry about losing the shuffle or it getting scratched in my purse.

It holds a gen1 and gen2 but not a gen3. I purchased it for my gen3 shuffle and it just didn't quite fit without some creative cutting with a box cutter.

I bought two cases for two iPod shuffles that I gave as gifts for Christmas. The cases have a piece of rubber to hold the iPod in place but the small shuffle doesn't easily fit into the case and I had trouble wraping the earphone cord around the two posts inside. There were no instructions which may have been helpful.
I would recommend trying another brand. With shipping these turned out to be a bit pricey for what I got.
