I did not received exactly what is pictured. I think Amazon may have attached the wrong pic. I have attached my own pictures of what the product really looks like. The Nano 4G fits perfectly. The nano is inserted thru the top after removing the cap. There is hole on top for the hold button. The bottom is completely open but the nano does not slip out as there is a tiny rim inside. I don't have anything to dock my nano in but it looks as if it should still work in all docks without removing it (but Im not sure). The black bottom cap can be used to stand the nano sideways or stuck to the bottom and has a hole to insert the earbud plug. There is a black silicone/rubber strip down both sides that make it easy to hold but takes away from the case being completely clear. My only complaint is that the click wheel does not have a protector but the screen does...over all very happy.

I purchased the Speck SeeThru case in late January of this year after buying my first iPod earlier the same month. What I was looking for in a case were features to facilitate the viewing of TV shows and movies, protect the iPod from scratches and dings, allow for comfortable and reliable use of the click-wheel and other controls, as well as a simplistic design. Here are a list of Pros and Cons that pertain to these features:
Pros:
- Case protects iPod from damage very well. It has fallen only once from my desk to the floor and there was no damage visible at all.
- Silicone bipod piece allows for relatively easy viewing of videos. It works on all surfaces and makes you feel a little better about watching a TV show or movie on this little little screen.
- Very easy access to controls and click-wheel. The nice beveled edge around the click-wheel actually makes it functions far smoother.

I just ordered this item. Please note that the picture provided by Amazon is not the correct picture for this item. This item has thin black oblong paddings on both sides of the case, making the case not completely clear or streamlined. If you check out one of the pictures (with notes) provided by another customer, you can barely make them out. This black padding does not bother me but it might change the appearance enough to bother some. Check it out before buying.
Otherwise, this is a well-made, affordable product and the bottom is built so that any headphone jacks or docking stations are accessible. I love it.
REVIEW UPDATE: I originally gave this product 4 stars. After six months of use, I am dropping my rating to 2 stars. If you're like me, and carry your idod around in your pocket and do not treat it as if were made of fragile crystal, you may have the same problem I did.
