Scosche has two charger models both called the reVIVE IV. This is the QUSBH4. Each of its 4 outlets can supply up to 1 amp (1000mA, 5 watts, total 4 amps). It's twice the price (and worth it) and twice the power of the QUSBH whose 4 outlets each can supply only up to 500mA. It has a bright blue light that you may want to cover with black tape. Its AC plug has folding prongs. With the right cables (not included) it works fine with all the BlackBerry and Apple devices I've tried. Note that some Motorola devices are fussy and may only work with their own chargers.

The Amazon photo is not quite accurate. On the QUSBH4, the letters "1A" (meaning 1 amp limit) are printed above each of the 4 USB outlets.

This charger model has enough oomph to charge most phones and some smaller tablets, but I think you'd smoke it with an ipad or a larger current draw item. Its rated well enough to charge 3-4 high demand devices. Just make sure you receive the correct model. There are two "reVIVE IV" chargers, the QUSBH and the QUSBH4. The former is usually about five bucks and the latter about 20. The '4' model also delivers about double the amps so as I mentioned its good for high draw stuff but the littler one is not. The non '4' model is good for older phones, but may not work with MUCH older phones such as anything made before 2008. Those often had usb charging sets but used a proprietary charger to bypass limits in the USB specification for current. Newer phones, chargers and some newer computers can charge higher amp usb devices, but the non '4' model wont. Some other devices like the Sony Playstation controllers also wont charge on this, as those require a proprietary charging...Read more

Got the correct model as indicated in the other reviews. I do not have an iPhone or iPad so I cannot comment on the 2A charging rate for these devices. I have a HTC EVO 4G, an Epic 4G touch, and two nooks all going at the same time, and they all appear to charge just as fast as if they were on the factory oem wall chargers. I don't have a way to measure the actual charge rate throttled to the phones, but given the equal time with all four plugged in, this charger appears to do 1A on each of the four ports simultaneously.

The only quibble is the bright blue led on the charger. It's quite bright and may be distracting. Nothing a little piece of black electrical tape can't solve.
