There wasn't a huge selection of cases on the market for the iPod Touch 4G when I bought mine, and Griffin appeared to be one of the first major accessory manufacturers to get solutions to the market. Being as there wasn't much to choose from, the Outfit case seemed to be one of the better options. The appearance of the case itself is about as attractive as depicted in the product shots. Not only do the "drops" provide a unique look, but they also help a bit with gripping the device and helping prevent it from skidding when lying on a flat surface. It clips onto the iPod fairly easily and JUST grips the edges of the device so it's fairly unobtrusive when you look at it from the front. My only real knocks against this case are that it doesn't provide much coverage on the top or bottom of the iPod. This can be seen as either a positive or a negative depending on how you look at it. I love this case.
First, I love the looks of it. I was looking for something a little different, something more than a solid color, and this definitely fits the bill. The gradient color from a dark blue-green to white adds interest not only to the back of the ipod, but to the front where the sides of the case are visible. The texture lends the ipod a "wet" look that is interesting both visually and tactually. The case lends a lot of style while maintaining a very sleek appearance.
I really like that it is so open at the bottom as a previous Belkin cover had to be removed for me to dock it to my speakers or fm transmitter. This case causes no obstruction whatsoever to docking.
I didn't even realize before reading the previous review that there is a little "play" in the case that allows the ipod to move slightly up and down. I can see what that is about now, but I had not even noticed it and it is so slight that I'm sure it still won't bother me...Read more

I loved the look and color, but it did not fit! I was unaware that the IPod Touch has different sizes for the various 'generations'. All the covers I bought (plastic) are for the camera version. I apparently have the 2nd generation, bought in 2010. So I'm returning this product. It is 2 sided but snaps on.
