Otterbox Defender Case for iPhone 3G 3GS (White/Black)

We have two Otterbox defender cases (white on black and black on yellow). I purchased it in March, 2011. My 11-year old son is hard on the case and the outer cover ripped by the mute switch. On closer inspection, it was also tearing around the dock cover flap and the headphone cover flap. The good news is that phone is in perfect condition. I called Otterbox and they are sending a replacement outer cover. Their customer service was great! They quickly answered the call. I didn't even have to send back the defective cover. We've have no problems with the 2nd black on yellow case.

The only complaint is what everyone should know before they buy that the case is bulky and doesn't fit in most docks. I ordered a dock extender to make it fit (http://www.gadgetboost.com/products/DockExtender-Boost-iPhone-iPod-iPad-Dock-Extender.html).

I love my Otterbox. I specifically got the black and white because it reminded me of Star Wars Stormtroopers. I love the soft feel of the rubber casing and the peace of mind knowing that my investment is well-protected. I've dropped it a few times and it's lived up to its claims.

Another reviewer mentioned the white being a bad choice for keeping clean of makeup stains but i have had no problems. Everything that gets on it wipes right off. I think girlfriend wears too much makeup!

Would definitely recommend and buy again. The only draw-back is that the black inner case is molded around the power in-put at the bottom such that only mac wires with their small size and rounded edges will fit. I had to dump my generic square ones. Oh well, less chance to burn out the battery with cheap cords.

I travel a great deal and I have been very satisfied with this product. It provides a great deal of protection from impact as
well as moisture. It makes the iPhone more bulky but easier to handle. The bright color also makes it easier to keep track of
in my travel bag. The only down side is the partial contact the screen cover makes with the screen making it appear as if
water is trapped inside. I have found that I don't even notice this any longer. I liked it enough to buy one as a gift for my
wife. They are pretty much bullet proof.
