I bought this case when I bought my 80 gig iPod, and it has saved my iPod on countless occasions. I have dropped my iPod on many different surfaces, from plush carpet to concrete, and while my case has taken a lot of abuse, my iPod doesn't have a scratch on it!

But when I dropped it on concrete for what was probably the 40th time (I really need to find a better way to carry it when I run!), the case itself started separating at the side seams and needed to be replaced.

There are a few downsides:

1) It doubles the size of the iPod.

2) The flap on the bottom that covers the cable port broke off and couldn't be replaced. This wasn't a really big issue for me, since I use that port several times a day.

3) "The slide-and-hide" arm has come off a few times, but I was able to slide it back in place every time and continue using it with no problems.

The Sidewinder case by Marware is hands down the best case I've ever encountered for the iPod Classic. I own 3 of them now and I have been using them since buying my first one in 2005 to protect a brand new iPod Classic - 60GB. They are fantastic protection. Each of our iPods is still going strong - thanks in large part by the protection offered by the Sidewinder case by Marware! The inserts are fantastic and now a Sidewinder case is protecting 6th and 7th generation 160GB iPods as well. Great product!

I might have to buy one of these again as a back up. I've had it for a few months now, and it's saved my ipod more than once.

Very very Durable, has a cool little kickstand for when you're watching movies. A little bulky.

The belt clip is ok. I just suggest not running or riding a bike with it clipped to your pants. I rarely use it on my actual belt because it digs into my side, but because of the ipod's weight, any kind of rapid motion like running or biking will cause it to fall off. But even if it does, it's tough enough to stand the abuse.

I recommend this to anyone who wants to take great care of their electronics.
