The Eco-Runner for nano 5G is a case for the environmentally conscious jogger or exercise aficionado. The unique armband design looks like muscle fibers when you put it on your arm. The armband extension strap allows this case to be worn on your wrist or upper arm, and a bottom adjustable strap allows this armband to work with the Nike+ Sport Kit receiver. The Eco-Runner keeps your nano secure while providing comfort for an active day, all the while reducing your carbon footprint. Plus, Eco-Prene material used in the armband is actually more comfortable than neoprene, and better for the environment, too. What’s so great about Eco-Prene? Eco-Prene is made from innovative sponge-like limestone. This is combined with recycled rPET to create an end result which looks and feels like neoprene, only far less toxic and more sustainable because it doesn’t contain high levels of petroleum or PVC. This material meets all RoHS standards, and all adhesives used in this product are non-toxic.

This review is from: Marware Eco-Runner Armband Case for iPod nano 5G (Black) (Electronics) I was initially very happy with this armband. It comes in two pieces, and allows you to configure it to wrap around your upper arm, or around your wrist. This was the only iPod Nano armband I've had that did this. It even had reflective trimming, great for those night time runs. One downside though was that the Nano never really fits snugly inside, so the plastic facing would bulge a little bit, just enough to where you might encounter difficulties manipulating the click wheel.
In terms of construction quality, it was about as durable as a snowman in egypt. Within weeks of regular use, the plastic facing had ripped out from the fabric frame. After this armband broke, I replaced it with a Griffin Aerosport armband, which I actually like more. needs work, Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) The material is quick to absorb sweat and I am not sure of how to clean it without damaging the plastic covering. Also, the straps are tedious to use in tandem as an armband, with the earphones jack sticking out in a bad way. Overall, as a first purchase, I would not be a repeat customer and would in fact choose another armband maker. |
