The color was a much darker than it showed online (which I think is a plus). Definitely a glossy, patent leather. Ipod fits perfectly (and I have the 3g, not the 2g)! This review is from: Marware Accent Case for iPod touch 2G, 3G (Blueberry) (Electronics) I looked forever to find a cute case without a major design flaw (e.g., several cases allowed the ipod to slip out through the bottom!). I was worried that the patent leather would look tacky, but it's very sleek. As others have noted, the color is much darker than the picture -- it's actually more of a navy. The ipod fits tightly, yet I am still easily able to remove it if I need to. That's hardly necessary, though, since all of the ports are accessible through the case. There's also a pocket on the inside flap (it's small, but you can use it to store a credit card). Velcro keeps the cover securely closed when not in use. The stitching seems to be very high quality, and the case looks like it will last a long time. She wanted a flip case and she liked the cover of this one (which is darker in person than in the picture). The biggest problem with soft cases like this one is that they have too much material around the edges of the device--so with the iPod (or iPhone) it makes it hard to touch precisely at the edges of the screen. This case also makes your wafer-thin iPod/iPhone suddenly 22mm thick. There are two Velcro spots at the bottom corners. They don't hold too securely but that's not a bad thing as it makes it easy to open. There's a suede-like inside cover which is screen-friendly, and this is also a pocket for the included microfibre cloth--but it doesn't work too well as it's extremely tight. There's a cut-out for the iPhone to be held to your ear, but no cut-out for the volume buttons...although there is an area that looks like it's been "pressed" into the material and you might be able to cut it out with a razor blade if desired. I would have to say...Read more |
