I bought this iSkin Duo for my wife's 2nd generation iPod and we have been very pleased with it. The flexible skin fits snugly on the back and the front is protected by a clear plastic screen that snaps on. When you want to use the touch screen you simply unsnap the plastic screen and attach it to the back. The screen is so clear that I was exasperated one time at the lack of the iPod response to touches until I discovered the screen was still on.

Iskin products are always pricy and in my experience are often the sturdiest protective cases for Ipods. Be forewarned though that my one attempted warranty claim for an iSkin product (belt clip broke on an old 5G case) was never acknowledged by the company despite a phone message and many emails. Basically buy this case for the design and materials quality, not the warranty. Having never made any other Ipod case warranty claims, I can't say if this bad service is customary in the industry or not.

Anyway, besides the questionable warranty, the Ipod Touch 2G Duo case has another issue. Iskin like many other Touch case mfgrs gives you a thin plastic screen to apply to your Touch screen so you can use the touch function without leaving prints or scratches on the screen. I have had three of these for various iPod Touchs I've owned now...as well as trying several other products for the first Touch I had. I'm definitely sold on these: nice and grippy to counteract the ultra-slippery, drop-prone ipod itself, can set in on your dash and not have it skitter to oblivion, and good protection for ipod and screen for everyday in purse/pocket use. I have to remove mine and clean it every six months or so...just normal oils and dirt. This is easy to do and effective. Essentially a durable investment that will outlast your ipod. My main beef with them is the protective screen film: it is SO HARD to install perfectly. You practically need to (a) have a surgeons steady hand to get it placed just right and (b) must be working in an industrial clean room. I'm serious about the clean room: do this in your normal living room, and you will clean the screen with the handy anti-oil wipe, pull the backing off the film...and instantly find the microscopic dust...Read more
