I'll start out by saying I LOVE this iPod case. It's cool looking, feels good in your hand, and the kickstand feature is SO handy. The reason I'm not rating a five, however, is that I feel the name and the picture are misleading.
I look at that picture and I think I'm seeing a white iPod and a black iPod in the Claro (which I am assuming means "clear") case. Looks good. What you are in fact seeing in the picture is a black iPod in the OUTER portion of the case, and another BLACK iPod in the ENTIRE case-- the inner silicone portion being kind of a see-through white.
I bought a black iPod because I wanted a BLACK iPod. The entire two-piece case put together turns my iPod kind of a steely gray. Cool-- if that's what you were looking for. I, however, had only looked at the right-hand iPod in the picture, read the copy about how it "lets the beauty of the iPod show through," and thought what I was getting would look like that.
You could just keep your...Read more

Misleading Advertising,

iSkin carefully touches up the product photos to make the case and its silicone layer seem clear. The silicone layer, however, is a frosty white, and is not even translucent. It slightly changes the color of even the white iPod, and the black iPod looks a dull gray.
The exterior layer is clear, but DON'T try using the external layer alone because you're dissatisfied with the look of the silicone. The silicone will prove an absolute necessity. Otherwise, the iPod rattles around in the case if you so much as walk with it.
iSkin also neglects the critical detail that the belt-clip is NON-REMOVABLE; it will not detach without irreversibly damaging the case. The Claro is clearly not designed with the mobile iPod user in mind, because it is too inflexible for MANY users: walkers; those with iTrips, docks; etc.
This case is disappointing, particularly for the money, because it is inflexible and fails to preserve the original look of the iPod. For the...Read more

We just received our iSkin cases. I ordered a Claro for my 30 and the standard iSkin for my Nano.
The standard iSkin for the 2nd gen Nano is really nice. It uses a silicone skin with a clip on face and wheel protector. there is a removable clip that can be attached to any of the 3 different colored skins that come in the pack. We ordered the set with the blue, purple and frosted skins. The silicone provides a great non slip feel and is easy to install and use on a daily basis. the only issue I can see is that the slot for the hold switch isn't aligned quite right on the blue one she's using.
The Claro on the other hand is a great concept, but disappointing in its execution. While iSkin's website shows and says that the skin is crystal clear, the skin actually makes the black iPod appear as white. The case also is super slick and slides out of a pocket if you don't use the non-removable clip. the headphone hole is too small to work with either of the aux...Read more
