best case for zune hd at the moment..imo,

I've been using the black version of this case for a while now (few weeks) and I have to say I'm really enjoying it. The zune slides right in and the fit is perfect. There are molded areas in the silicone for the three button areas (top, side, front) and all are fully functional. The black does show a fair bit of lint/dust from pockets so you'll find yourself cleaning it every so often. You should also note that if you have the A/V dock (not sure about the sync dock), you will have to remove the plate from the dock for the zune to fit while in the case. It's works fine this way so no problem. I did notice that my case has a very small tear in the silicone in the top right corner where the case meets the screen, not sure if this happened when I put the player in or was there when I received it, but the material quality does seem nice and sturdy otherwise. I also have the flip case by DLO and, after using it for a day, returned the zune to this case. Slides in and out of pockets...Read more

Ordered this at the same time as I bought my HD 32 GB player. Fits like the proverbial glove. They also included a screen protector that installed easily and fit perfectly. No one who buys a Zune should be without this.

The Good:
The skin fits very nicely on the Zune HD and is fairly easy to put on and remove. It has a good texture and it doesn't block the headphone jack at all. It covers the buttons which worried me at first but I've found they're just as easy to press as without the skin. The included screen protector once applied is very nice. I've found that with the screen protector on that my finger actualy slide along the screen better than without it.
The Bad:
The data port is hard to access. I have the Zune HD Premium Car Pack and can't connect it to the zune with the skin on. I've seen pictures of people using docks with this skin so that may not be true for all accessories, but the car adapter I have is the latest one made by Microsoft specifically for the Zunes. The only other downside was due to the thickness of the skin in order to unplug my ear buds I had to pull on the wire instead of the plug to get it out. Not a good thing to be doing often.
