Being an happy owner of an Incipio Feather, I thought I'd give the NGP Matte a try, since the Feather doesn't quite offer drop protection.
Unfortunately, the NGP Matte was a huge disappointment. Let me list the ways:
1. It is only a little harder than a hard rubber case. It is nothing like the material used in the Feather. I thought this would be like the Feather, except it covers the bezel of the screen. That would have been perfect--a super thin, hard case, that covers the bezel.
2. The fit is poor. The bottom part covering the bezel above the dock connector is all floppy and loose, it sits naturally a few mm from the iPhone (yeah, like in some cheap silicone case!). I've seen many hard rubber cases with a tighter fit than this.
3. The button protection: yes, it protects your power and volume buttons... to the point you can't use them!! The case material is too hard. It is not giving like a rubber case, so it makes the power and volume buttons VERY...Read more

I previously owned a translucent Incipio case of a similar design. This case fits the body of the phone nicely and offers some protection. However, the thing that disappoints me about this case is the thin bit that runs along the lower front of the phone is very loose. While the case is still functional, this flaw really ruins the overall look of the case.
