Grippy semi-protective case,
March 15, 2011 I would prefer to not use a case with my ever so thin 4th generation iPod Touch. Unfortunately, that preference led to an $149 replacement bill when my son dropped my iPod on a parking lot shattering the screen. So on the way out of my local Apple Store with my replacement iPod, I picked up this case. The lip extends a couple of millimeters above the plane of the screen, so hopefully, the case will take the brunt of any impact when dropped on a flat surface. It can't protect against screen side down drops on non-flat surfaces though, but how could it?
The case looks great, substantial and easy to grasp. The back texture is like those needle art toys where you press your hand, or in this case two balls, on one side and it's contour appears on the other side. It's a bit like a rubberized plastic, but not rubber itself in feel,...Read more
