After wading through many customer reviews for the limited offering of cases for the iPod Touch 4th generation I was rather discouraged by comments on fit and durability. I took a chance on this Griffin product which had no reviews, but was expensive enough that I believed it might be a well made product. Indeed it is, and the fit is perfect. This hard case definitely will not peel off in your pocket as others have commented with some of the soft silicone like cases. I have a silicone case on an iPod Touch first generation, and it has held up well with no fit problems, but the iPod 4G is much slimmer than previous offerings, and with the shallow curve of the back, I can see how a silicone case might not hold securely. The Griffin case adds little bulk to the iPod, and has cut outs for all the buttons, and the camera lens. It should protect from falls about as well as anything not bulky. Bought this for my son along with an Ipod Touch. This does a great job of protecting the Itouch. The graphite look is great. It also helps prevent the Ipod from slipping.

Great product at a good price.

I've been using Griffin Technology cases since the old iPod videos, and they have never disappointed me until now. I received this case a few months back but I just started using it this week. Within 2 days of use, the bottom piece cracked in half and made the case useless. I did not drop the iPod, nor do I abuse it. I was taking the iPod out of my pocket, and the case cracked in half in the process.

I was about to rate this only 1 star, but I gave it an extra star because of how the case looks. It looks amazing. In the few days I used it, many people complimented the "carbon fiber" look of the back. I personally love the look of the case.

I would buy another one just because of the way it looks, but the fact that it is so fragile makes me hesitate.
