Summary: This is a great product!! 2010-09-02
Comment: Screen protectors can be somewhat awkward and difficult to install if it is the first time you are attempting such an operation.
Grantwood recommends you watch a custom video on You Tube before you try installing their protector. If you have NEVER installed one of these before, I urge you to watch the video first. If you do not, you will probably screw up the install...but then don't blame Grantwood or their product, because the devil here is in the application technique, and not the product itself.
You also need to make sure that the ipod screen is absolutely spotless with no marks or dust of any kind just before you attempt the install. I recommend cleaning the glass of the ipod with optical glass cleaner and a good quality microfiber cloth.
The application mechanism of the Grantwood allows for a smooth install, if you follow the directions properly. You cowboys out there who like to do things without first reading manuals will probably not like the way the protector installs. But then you only have yourself to blame.
I have used several different protectors over the last several years. ALL of them leave some bubbles after the installation is complete (some of them leave horrendous and large bubbles or air pockets). The main difference is that the Grantwood, WHEN PROPERLY APPLIED, leaves essentially almost NO bubbles or air pockets, and the small bubbles it may leave either can be easily pushed down/out with a little force with a finger or a credit card, or dissipate over the first several days that the protector is on the ipod.
Once installed, the screen is protected. The protector transmits your finger movements as if you were touching the screen directly and the protector cleans easily with some glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth.
Given the price, what more could you want?
The Grantwood protects the glass of the ipod and preserves its life and value.
That is what a screen protector is supposed to do...that is what it does.
You will not be disappointed.

Summary: Fairly Works 2010-08-24
Comment: I usually buy the Apple preferred screen protectors sold at the Apple Store (Powersupport TU301LL/A Crystal Film for iPod Touch $14.99 no bubbles at all). I figure I try these since the price was more reasonable than the one I usually get. I put one on as instructed on my iPod Touch 16GB and the result was a few annoying tiny stubborn bubbles remained. Other than that, they do protect. Some smudges occur on any protector I have used and easily wiped off.

Summary: Not a winner for me 2010-08-16
Comment: I'm glad that others have had success with these protectors, but they haven't worked well for me. There are two major problems I've had with them. First, I had a very hard time aligning the protector with the button (yes, I watched the video online first). My problem is that the tabs on the protector make you peel from *top* of the screen first. I had a really hard time starting at the top and then getting it to align with the button at the bottom of the screen. The second problem I had is that the protector peels at the edges after a month or so. I guess this is ok for the price, but I was hoping for better.

Comment: Some people say you get what you pay for, and outrageously priced pieces of plastic are not the logical choice. I took a chance here, and wasn't disappointed. As with everyone we read reviews to help us decide if this is the product for us, and you guys made the choice for me. Price was great, and the product does exactly what it's supposed to do without burning a hole in your wallet.
Good job Grantwood.

Summary: Great purchase 2010-07-27
Comment: If you can get the cover on without making air bubbles, then you are set. If you do get some air bubbles, it's ok; it doesn't really matter. Get this item; it's cheap and they work great
