it's surprisingly hard to find a decent case for an ipod touch. i looked at many before settling on this one (DLO jam jacket). the case is rubber and fits securely around the unit but is not ridiculously tight fitting like some other cases. the rubber actually covers the volume, lock, and main buttons ... but the rubber is raised in these areas so you can find them and they are easily depressed through the rubber case.
the clip is very sturdy i do not worry about it being dislodged during active use. my only complaint is that unlike a typical clip, it's not on a rocker, where you would for example push on one side to make the clip open. instead you sort of have to wedge whatever you are clipping onto between the case and the clip. this is awkward if whatever you are clipping onto is not rigid, for example, soft clothing.

This product does everything it claimed to do and does it well. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the multiclip helps with ear bud cord management. The only complaints I have are that it seems to loosen over time and does not provide much protection around the bottom where the dock and headphone connectors plug in. Overall, it was worth every penny and was a bargain at that price

I have had this case since Easter, 2 (maybe 3) years ago. Using the clip will save your earbuds from excess wear and tear on the jack (where the headphones connect to your iPod). I tried using a standard case that fits inside my pocket, and my headphones would stop working after two or three weeks, because the jack was not protected in my pocket.

The reason why I am getting a new one is that the clip broke off under normal conditions. The plastic connectors on the inside of the clip wore down too far to keep the clip in place. I still use the case without the clip to protect my device.

MAKE SURE to put a piece of plastic or paper between your case and the back of your iPod, because the plastic clip will scratch the metal backing on the inside!
All-in-all, I am very satisfied with this case and another is currently on delivery.
