DLO iPod Touch 3G GameCase Boost - Reasonable Comfort But Flawed Design,

The DLO GameCase Boost for iPod touch 2G, 3G (Black) makes it much more comfortable to hold your iPod Touch horizontally for gaming. It even includes the ability to get a small battery life extension using 2 AA batteries. But using it requires taking your iPod Touch out of it too often and it's also uncomfortable to hold vertically. Perhaps the biggest design flaw is that using it covers up the external speaker, requiring you to use the headphones. For some gamers that's simply a deal breaker.

Comfortable alternative to holding your iPod Touch,

The DLO Game Case Boost for the iPod Touch is made of a silicone rubber that feels soft and allows you to have a firm grip on your iPod Touch. Great for playing games, especially for long trips. The ergonomic design uses less stress on your knuckles since your hands are more relax and not clutching the iPod. I actually like the idea that it uses AA batteries since sometimes I am not always in a location where I have access to a wall outlet to charge it. This is more of a convenient alternative to giving the iPod Touch a boost of power for those such occasions.
To install your iPod Touch you just have to roll back the silicone rubber casing and place your iPod inside and roll the rubber back over the edges. It takes some nudging and stretching to get it back in place, but it does fit snugly.
The video stand makes it great to place on a surface to watch movies, listen to your tunes or watch music videos. This comes in handy when I am at work.

What I like about this iTouch holder is the fact that it not only extends the battery life on your device, but that it improves your playing time.
My favorite game is the Waterslide Extreme. Holding the 2G iTouch device inside DLO's GameBoost holder improves my score on this game as I'm able to maneuver it easier due to the great grip on the device. Note, that this is only true for the games that are played in landscape mode. It provides great handling for the driving games.
I've dropped the device (on the carpet) before and can't say that the grip saved it but the device wasn't damaged and the DLO cover wasn't damaged either. The DLo is pretty rugged.
It's beneficial to have, but I feel that the device is somewhat extraneous. It's an accessory but not a necessity.
