I was thinking about getting the otterbox waterproof case but it was $40 and all I wanted was a hard safe container for my ipod and the ability to play music when it was in the case. Then i noticed the Case Logic Tin and it was pretty cheap... so I went ahead and bought it.
I'll get straight to the point. It does protect the ipod nicely and the ipod is very snug in the rubbery inlay. But my only two problems is that the rubber/silicone (whatever it's made from) inlay is not actually connected to the tin itself. This review is from: Case Logic ICTT-1 Traditional Tin Case for iPod Classic 80/160G (Black) (Electronics) This is a case that really does what it says--and not too much more. The case in strong enough that you can put it in a bag and not worry about something scratching, dinging or otherwise injuring your iPod.
I bought it because it's getting harder and harder to find cases and that fit 160 GB iPods and this one does that well. The soft, rubbery part that actually holds your iPod its inside the silver back piece of the case so there is something soft around your device in this hard case. There are also holes in the backs of both the white inlay and the silver back so your iPod won't overheat. The inlay does just sit inside the back piece so if the front cover is off, it's very easy for the inlay (and your iPod) to fall out. While the front/cover piece does have a little notch so that it sort of clicks in when it's all the way down (and won't just slide off), a major downside (I feel) is that it doesn't slide onto the back of the case. When you're...Read more |
