I ordered this for my 7th gen iPod Classic, and though you can't tell from the photos, there's a clear plastic film, somewhat form-fitted to the click wheel, that covers the click wheel. While I could *sort of* use the click wheel through the film, I found that this film interfered too much. I tried lifting a corner of the plastic film where it was glued onto the inside of the front cover piece, but it looked like it was going to leave behind a sticky residue that would come in contact with the iPod. So I dug out an exacto knife and cut out the film, guiding it around the edge of the circular opening. The click wheel itself is no longer covered, but it's recessed in from the surface of the case, so that doesn't concern me. It works much better now.
Keep in mind that after you lay the iPod in the back piece of the case, the front piece just sort of "friction fits" on top, inside the walls of the back piece. So if you were to drop it, it seems likely that the front piece...Read more

The metal part of the case is glued on to the plastic part of the case, and after one day of use, the glue came off on the top left corner, and the whole metal part is coming off.
not well built at all. if you guys want to buy this kind of case, go for just plastic ones without shabby metal finish.
