Belkin FastFit Armband for Apple iPod Nano 6G (Black/Blue)

I received this armband as a gift to go with my new 6th generation Nano. I was surprised initially at how easy it was to adjust the armband and how comfortable it felt compared to an old velcro model I used to use. The "Fast Fit" concept is a little hokey and really once you have it adjust properly you don't need to utilize this feature each time you run. What you end up with is a really bulky spot on the armband right where your nano clips to, but despite this it's still fairly comfortable. I have pretty big biceps and this thing fits no problem and also fit no problem on my wife's much skinnier upper arm.

My biggest problem with this armband is that the nano isn't protected inside of a plastic sleeve or any type of covering. If you sweat a lot while running I don't see any way to prevent the sweat from dripping directly onto the nano or even worse onto the connector between the nike+ receiver and the nano. Like lots of folks I know, I chose the Belkin FastFit for my 6th gen iPad Nano because it allows me to clip on the device and then use the connector at the bottom to add my Nike+ sensor and headphones seamlessly. I'm a runner, and I almost never use my Nano for anything else, so it has to accommodate my Nike+ sensor. Other Nano wrist bands enclose the Nano and you can't access the connector port, so the Belkin design was ideal. This strap was reasonable in price and does everything I need it to do but one thing - stay on. The velcro used is VERY cheap and has teeny tiny teeth, so it doesn't adhere firmly and has almost no grip at all. Couple that with the sweat created when I run, and the damp velcro makes the situation worse. What barely holds on when dry, pops off a lot once damp. I solved this situation by attaching better velcro - but this seems like a fix that Belkin could and should totally make, I can't imagine that quality velcro would add that much more to the price...Read more

I have ordered a belkin armband before for a previous ipod and we liked it a lot, so we ordered this one for the new ipod. It is the same good quality and perfect fit for the ipod and for an avid runner.
