Belkin Essential 025 Case for Apple iPhone 4/4S (Purple Lightning)

This Belkin cover is very slim and does not add bulk to the phone at all. This was perfect for me because I do like how thin the iphone is and I didn't like the bulk of some of the other covers by well known brands. The cover is semi hard - it's not rubbery but it's not completely hard like some of the hard plastics and metal ones I've seen. It's got a soft brush feeling to it which is great so you get some grip to it when holding the phone but it slides easily into your pocket.

My only gripe about this cover is the color. I was expecting something similar to the picture which is more true purple but what you get is something more purplish magenta color, which I love anyways. So it worked out!

Will this cover protect the phone if you drop it? I think it will protect the phone from scratches and such but you'll still need a screen protector. I don't think the phone will be protected if you drop it from a high point, from let's say your hands to the ground,...Read more

The design and feel of the case is very nice. I bought it to stop my fingers from rubbing against the the sharp edges of the phone. While this fixes the harsh edges, it brought along creaking/popping noise from the poor fit. I think there may be some quality control issues at hand here or maybe this was just designed for an iPhone 4S.

The other problem I have with the phone is that the volume button is not perfectly lined up since this case was designed for a 4 and not a 4S. This is somewhat misleading and I wish they would just redesign a case specifically for the 4S.

If you don't mind all the cons above, then it is a good case. I opted to find a better case because I can't stand a noisy case.
